36 states will hold gubernatorial elections as millions of America vote in the midterm election on Tuesday. Five are considered a gamble and could change party hands.

 

In addition, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives are at stake, and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate. More than 42 million people have already cast ballots in early in-person or mail-in voting before November 8, Election Day. Some analysts suggest the total vote in contests across the country could top the 115 million tally set in the 2018 midterm elections.

 

 

The White House, which is controlled by the Democrats hold control of both chambers. Looking at history, parties that has control in the executive and legislative branch of government usually lose their seats during midterm election.
