
The FA and the clubs involved announced the postponement of these matches due to a lack of police officials as a result of the burial of the Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, scheduled to take place on Monday, September 19, 2022. As a result, the premier league and UEFA fixtures for game week eight have been drastically reduced.
The match between Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2022 has been postponed, according to an official statement from Chelsea. Arsenal, however, would play their premier league game against Brentford, but the UEFA Europa League matchup against PSV Eindhoven slated for Thursday, September 15, 2022, has been postponed. Manchester United have confirmed that the home game against Leeds United has been postponed as well.
