According to a new poll, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is leading other candidates in the race for the presidency in 2023.
According to Naija News, the poll was conducted on September 17, 2022, by the We2Geda Foundation, a public advocacy group.
The poll, however, was released on Tuesday by We2Geda’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ibrahim Abdulkareem, and a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT), Muna Obioha.
According to the poll, 51% of respondents preferred Obi as their preferred candidate, while 25% preferred Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as their flagbearer.
According to the poll, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came in third place with 19 percent of the vote.
“Further analysis reveals that Peter Obi remained a consistent favorite in the four major geopolitical zones of North-Central, South-South, South-West, and South-East, while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was the poll leader in the NorthEast and North-West zones,” the group said.
According to the organization, there were 15,438 registered voters in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with the majority of respondents in a random survey being Nigerians between the ages of 26 and 50.
About two weeks after the Anap Foundation, a pro-democracy organization revealed the results of their survey ahead of the 2023 election, which it portrayed as a three-horse fight between Obi, Atiku, and Tinubu, a new poll was conducted.
