A Nigerian R&B and pop musical quartet with the name of Styl-Plus. Shifi Emoefe, Tunde Akinsanmi, Yemi Akinwonmi, and Lanre Faneyi were the founding members; STYL is an acronym for their first names. After the passing of Lanre Faneyi in 1998, Zeal Onyecheme joined the group. ..

 

In the past
STYL was established in 1997 with four members in Akure, Nigeria. The trio sang mostly pop and love songs in 2001. After the passing of Lanre Faneyi and the inclusion of Zeal Onyecheme, the group’s name was changed to Styl-Plus in 1999. Yemi Akinwonmi departed the band in 2002 to pursue a different profession.

All The group’s participants studied at Akure’s Federal University of Technology.

Due to their talent for singing moving emotive ballads, Styl-Plus has been dubbed Africa’s “Boys II Men.” [4] With their vocal harmonies, catchy melodies, R&B flair, and lyrics that are both profound and entertaining, the popular group of outstanding performers in Nigeria combines English with Yoruba, their native dialect.

Songs like “Olufunmi,” “Imagine That” (produced by Tunde Akinsanmi), “Run Away,” “Call My Name,” “Stay Alive,” and “Four Years” can be found on Styl-first plus’s two albums. Other singles include “Baby Mo,” “Unbreakable,” “Ready to Go,” “On the Dance Floor” with Jesse Jagz, “Ka Fo Lo (Let’s Fly Away”), “Jekeserelo” with Chics Bad Boy Slim, and “Ka Fo Lo (Let’s Fly Away).

Recently, Talented Nigeria Singer, Songwriter and Mavins Signed Artiste, Johnny Drille drops a brand new single title “Odo“, which he features, Styl-Plus.

Under the previous management (Joey & T-Jazz), they released two singles to radio in late October 2003….
